And it’s on a brand new plane too…
The new car smell is cool and all, but there’s nothing quite like the new plane smell. With list prices around $100 million dollars, it’s just a bit “richer”. TAP Portugal is taking delivery of the new state of the art Airbus A330-900neo ahead of it’s debut to San Francisco, California on June 10th, 2019. To celebrate new planes and brand new high end business class seats, the airline is offering $1410 (£1127) round trip flights from European cities to San Francisco, and you can even work in a free stop in gorgeous Lisbon. Deal alert!
The Business Class Flight Deals
San Francisco is beautiful in summer, and even if it’s not your final intended destination, it’s the perfect starting point for any West Coast trip, with easy onward connections. Summer is a time when economy airfare can rival off peak business class, so the chance to savor flat bed seats at prices not far off what many will pay for economy is worth the effort of flying to Dublin, Prague or London where the best deals are found. Dublin offers the lowest prices starting at $1410 (£1127) round trip, with Prague next at $1700 (£1350) and London at $1987 (£1500). All of these deals allow you to build a stopover in Portugal ranging from one to five nights for no additional airfare. What a cool way to see a European city on the cheap.
The Dates You Can Fly Off To San Francisco
The new route kicks off June 10th, and you can travel from that date up to anytime at the end of the schedule. These new seats are about as good as you’ll find in business class, with the lone exception of Qatar Airways incredible QSuite, so there’s a lot to love here. A Sunday night stay appears to be the only requirement, so you could theoretically leave on a Saturday and fly back on a Monday, not that most people would want to…
How To Book These Brilliant Business Class Deals
For West Coast travel and a 2 in 1 trip to Lisbon and San Francisco this price is exceptional. You’ll do best booking from Dublin after peak summer in September and October, but any of the deals are laudable. Here’s a Google Flights example for Dublin, Prague and London. You can book these deals directly with TAP and also use the Portugal Stopover program if you’d like a multi day stop in Lisbon on the outbound or return. Why not, right?
