Spring in New York is hard to beat, especially when you pay premium economy prices for business class. Thanks to a great find from our friends Premium-Flights, there’s an opportunity to snag return fares in business class to New York for under £1000. If you’re feeling a little extra, you could even upgrade to first for around 20,000 miles each way. Here’s how to get in on these steals while they’re still kicking…
The Flight Deals
British Airways and Oneworld has just launched an aggressive fare sale out of German cities, for travel to New York or Chicago. Since most German cities are quite easy to reach, even from London, it can absolutely be worth using points or a cheap flight to get to Germany to cash in on the savings. The best offers are available from Stuttgart, Frankfurt and more.
If there’s a seat in first that’s available using Avios, it also means you can then upgrade these fares using roughly 20,000 Avios Points each way. £950 and around 20,000 points to fly business and first class certainly ain’t bad, nor are the tier points.
The Dates You Can Travel
These sales have very specific dates, but the good news is that there are options in both 2019 and 2020, which give you choices. These deals are available during the week of Thanksgiving in the USA, from November 23rd to 29th for outbound travel and then again from March 26th through April 12th of 2020 and also in summer from June 26th through August 22nd.
Being able to snag these kind of prices for peak summer travel to New York this far in advance is amazing, especially since the airline will have quite a few of the new Club Suite equipped Boeing 777 flights on the route by then. To get the lowest prices, you’ll need to stay a week in the USA.
How To Book These Flights
These sort of flash sales tend not to last very long. As a reminder, there’s also £1350 options direct from London, if you’d prefer to skip the faff of going to Germany, back to London and then onto New York, but for some – these are worth the extra points or hassle. Here’s links to the best fares, like…
- £957 Stuttgart to NYC in Business Class
- £961 Berlin Tegel to NYC in Business Class
- £967 Frankfurt to NYC in Business Class
