How do you know a good deal when you see it? Well, if you know anything about travel from most European cities to Rio De Janeiro, you know that economy often costs more than £1200 ($1500) round trip. Now remember, that’s economy – and today we’re not talking about economy. We’re talking about seats which convert into flat beds, with airport lounges and loads of miles for the trip too, all for £1050 ($1325) round trip on Oneworld airlines. That’s pretty great…

The Flight Deals To Brazil

British Airways has joined LATAM and Iberia in offering super low business class offers to Rio De Janeiro around £1050 return. At the same time, Star Alliance airline TAP Portugal is offering £1290 flights via Lisbon (which even include a free Portugal stopover), and Lufthansa also has flights from Paris, albeit for a bit more.

Now that more countries can enjoy visa free access, there’s hardly been a better time to go. The best £1050 flight offers are from Paris and Nice, France – giving you two easy to access locations to start these deals. You’ll connect via London before hopping on a 787 Dreamliner to Rio. It’s all really easy.

The TAP offers from London are also amazing and allow you to build in a free stopover on the way there or the way back, which is a really cool way to tick Lisbon off the bucket list as part of another trip. You can even brush up on your Portuguese.

The Dates You Can Travel

Dates for these two deals – the ones from France, and the ones from London – are slightly different, but both offer flexible options which allow you to either have a quick trip or a longer stay, which could be nice in a place like Brazil.

The Oneworld deals from Paris are around for travel to Rio in August, September, November and December of 2019.

The TAP deals from London are available on select dates in 2019, but are absolutely wide open for Rio travel in 2020.

How To Book These Amazing Flights

No joke, there are plenty of dates where you could pay a lot more for a cramped economy seat on the 11.5 hour flight, so these aren’t the kind of deals to sleep on. If you want in, we’ve made links to the best offers from each airline, including specific instructions of how to book. It really couldn’t be much easier.

The Oneworld Deals

These BA/Oneworld deals can be booked easily via Google Flights, Skyscanner UK or British Airways. Here’s a calendar of when each outbound flight is available at the lowest prices. You’ll have much more flexibility on the return.

Simply search on BritishAirways.com, Skyscanner or Google Flights using the dates in green above as your outbound and you’ll find the lowest prices with no sweat. Oh and side note: Rio is heaven in November…

The Star Alliance Deals

The TAP deals only work if you book them directly with TAP Portugal at FlyTAP.com and use the stopover program. Selecting a stopover on the outbound or the return should bring up options around £1290 round trip.

TAP doesn’t provide a great way to search for these, so you need to scroll until you hit “executive” as the fare type, which means business class. Ignore, basic, classic or any other option. If it says one of your flights is in economy, it just means the short flight between Rio and Brasilia on the return, not any of the European or long haul segments.

Here are the best things to do in Rio De Janeiro, in case you need inspiration!
