But really, why wouldn’t you?

The next time you find yourself 1,500 points short of a great ticket, you have only yourself to blame. That is, of course, if you don’t take advantage of this ridiculously good and easy offer to earn 1,500 bonus American Express Membership Rewards Points, just from booking dinner reservations for free. Here’s everything you need to know to turn your prized tables into points…

Bonus Points On Resy Bookings

Resy is the alternative to OpenTable which is gaining major traction, thanks to a sleek app and its recent acquisition by American Express. To kick off the new partnership, Amex is offering 500 bonus points per reservation made through Resy.com, or the Resy mobile app for Amex cardholders. There’s really not that much more to it, but here’s the full details

  • This offer is only for meals booked and consumed from August 15th through September 30th at restaurants in the USA.
  • You need to register your Amex Membership Rewards earning card in your “Resy Wallet” before you dine via the Resy platform online or on the mobile app.
  • To be clear, Delta Amex, Hilton Amex and other cards are not eligible. The Amex Platinum, Green and Preferred Rewards Gold card are all Membership Rewards earning cards and are though.
  • You can only earn your 500 bonus Membership Rewards points three times for a maximum total of 1,500 bonus points.

Best Credit Cards For Dining Out

This is amongst the easiest 1,500 bonus points you could ever earn, and there’s really no logical reason why you shouldn’t. If any restaurant you plan on visiting is on the Resy platform, even if it’s a local you usually walk into, this is 500 bonus points per booking, on top of whatever points you earn for actually enjoying the meal.

Amex offers a few of the more competitive credit cards for maximum rewards on dining, including the Amex Gold which brings 4x points on dining around the world. If you spend $125 on dinner and book a table via Resy using this promo, you’d be looking at 500 points for the meal and 500 bonus points just for making the reservation. That’s pretty darn lucrative…
