Flying to China doesn’t have to be expensive or uncomfortable…

While we see economy deals to China pop up pretty regularly, we understand that flying over 12 hours in economy isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. So, if you’re looking for an adventure across the Pacific and want a little more comfort, this deal’s for you.

With premium economy flights for as little as $723 round-trip, you can upgrade your experience and stretch out just a bit more so you can be rested and ready to go when you land.

Delta Premium Select to Shanghai

Each of the Big 3 U.S. carriers operates a non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai. However, only two of them are operating flights with premium economy. Delta must be feeling pretty confident that if you fly their Premium Select product, you’ll forget about American’s premium economy — and you’ll run away from United’s economy experience.

It has been a while since I heard about someone getting dragged off a United flight though…

If you don’t live in Los Angeles, you might be able to find a cheap connection that makes booking this worth it — just make sure you leave plenty of time between flights.

Dates For The Deal

You shouldn’t have too much trouble finding dates to book from the last week in February through May. Keep in mind that if you want to travel in May, you need to depart Los Angeles within the first couple of days but most dates in May work for the return.

If you want to take a couple months to explore Asia, you can even return on a number of dates in June.

How To Book Delta Premium Select

This deal is available directly through Delta but searching with Google Flights will make your life much easier. Just start playing around with dates of Los Angeles that work for you and see what you can find. Here’s an example to get you started.

New To Premium Economy?

Since the U.S. carriers are slowly rolling out premium economy, you might not know what to expect. As a point of reference, think of a typical domestic first class seat but with a footrest. The seat won’t be quiet as wide but you’ll get a couple more inches of legroom than you’ll find with domestic first. That catering upgrade from economy doesn’t hurt either.

Oh, and don’t worry, this isn’t economy being sold as premium economy.
