Let’s be real, £570 return is a price most people expect to pay from UK cities to Asia in economy. It’s a solid price, and for a long haul destination, not a bad one at all. That’s precisely why these fares from the Lufthansa group are super enticing, because they’re not for economy – they’re for premium.

If you’ve been eyeing up Bangkok or Hong Kong, this might be the best sale yet – since it won’t break the bank without breaking your knees either.

The Premium Economy Flight Deals

It’s not hard to sell Bangkok, or Hong Kong. They’re great cities with lots to do and more to eat. A 12 hour flight however, is a hard sell. Premium economy gives you the extra legroom, recline and small touches that make that a breeze, or at least a lot closer than economy feels.

Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian, etc) are offering absolutely superb premium economy deals from Manchester, Edinburgh and London which allow you to explore Asia with this added comfort from £570 return. That’s quite literally less than some UK airlines are charging for economy on the same dates.

The Dates You Can Travel

These deals are almost exclusively all for travel over the course of the summer and early fall. You’ll find the lowest prices of 2019 in May, June, August and September, and then for 2020 in April. The best prices tend to be for departures from the UK between Monday and Thursday.

Trips of one week or more work best, but you can get away with slightly shorter stays as well. Don’t worry, we’ve got links taking you directly to the best prices.

How To Book Asia In Premium Under £600

These deals are pretty easy to book, especially if you have some flexibility on dates. May and June are wide open, August and September have a few departure dates left and April is pretty open too. We’ve made easy to use Skyscanner links which take you directly to the lowest prices, like…

If business class or first class is more your style, don’t forget that Swiss and Lufthansa are still offering £1000 business class deals to Asia, if you can book for two passengers. You can find those deals here.

Now that the boring flight stuff is out of the way, here’s everything you need to know for Hong Kong, and everything not to do in Bangkok. Helpful, right?

  1. Lufthansa’s Premium economy is superb and they use modern airframes to / from BKK…
Clean cabins, working IFE (with a lot of English language content), adequate if not generous but quality catering *with choice*, friendly if a little automated staff…
Such a contrast with BA and even Lufthansas regular prices are normally few percent lower… KL and Singapore are both reachable on sub 2hr regional low cost flights from BKK…
    Thanks once again Mr GTSP
