Londoners who like to fly nearest the pointy end of the plane know all too well that the best deals for that section of the plane rarely depart from London. Yep, getting a “bargain” on a business or first class seat usually means schlepping to a European gateway that’s offering super low prices, which means more time and effort than you’d ideally enjoy. But when it’s worth it, it’s worth it.

Today, you can get those same pricing levels, but without going anywhere, with amazing business class offers from London, to some of the hottest cities in Asia, proverbially and literally…

Flights To Asia

Swiss flies their flagship Boeing 777 to both Hong Kong and Bangkok, with the airlines best seats by a mile. It’s a top quality business class experience. If you can find a friend, partner, frenemy, loved one or family member to tag along, you can lock in business class for a mere £1075 per person and up, to quite a few cities. Swiss has now created a landing page, with prices and easy to find dates for each possibility.

If you prefer the Oneworld alliance, Finnair flies their outstanding A350 to Shanghai, and has prices which are available solo for £1322 out of London- which is about as good as it gets. Here’s a review of that experience as well. Hong Kong and other cities Asian are also available around £1500 solo, which is still a great deal from London.

Hot tip: These Finnair deals can earn Tier Points on British Airways, and a return journey via Helsinki would earn 440 tier points, plus a bunch of Avios.

The Dates You Can Travel

Each deal will offer slightly different dates, but for the most part you’ll find options in each month of the year. For the Swiss deals to Hong Kong, you’ll do best for UK departures between Monday and Wednesday, though a few Sunday departures are also available. Trips of one week or more tend to work best for the lowest prices.

The Swiss Bangkok deals don’t really kick off until May, but they’re wide open for that month, June and then scattered throughout summer, with excellent availability in September and November too.

The Finnair deals to Shanghai kick off in March and are completely wide open through mid June for UK departures on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. They come back again after summer with even better availability on departures any day of the week starting August 24th. A Saturday night stay is the only requirement for these deals.

How To Book These Offers

Airlines can pull the plug on these sort of offers at any time, so if they’re definitely what you’re after, it’s worth getting in while you can. Read as: don’t wait until tomorrow to talk to that friend, or future lover.

You can book both the Bangkok and Hong Kong deals here on Swiss.com, which shows the most accurate availability. The Finnair flights can be booked with Finnair, or also through your favourite online travel agency. Here’s example links to each deal on Skyscanner, just to help you search, like…

Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Hong Kong, including recommendations on just about everything, and here are all the things you don’t want to do in Bangkok. Don’t forget that there are reviews of each airline seat and experience linked above, if you want a little sample of what’s to come…
