China Southern offers a nice, solid fully flat business class cabin. They’ve just launched an aggressive sale to Beijing with prices starting at $1700 round trip from Los Angeles. There are similar great deals from Toronto and Vancouver as well. Otherwise, major East Coast US cities can be found from $2400 and up.
The Dates
The very best deals are available in February and March of 2018. There are similar deals in January and April, but you’ll do best looking in February. These search engine tips may help you find even lower prices, using sites like Momondo.

thanks for the update. Less than $2.5k business ticket from Chinese carriers are not uncommon, but they almost always originate in China. Originating in US that’s quite sweet.
Hells Bells…..I already booked that time frame….and Beijing is on my bucket list….crap…..this is what happens when you book yourself a year or two in advance. Sigh……
