If you find yourself unable to fly economy again, after enjoying the delights of fully flat beds for the exact same price many people pay for economy, blame JetBlue. The airline is aggressively rolling out their fresh, innovative “mint” business class on routes all across the United States, and it’s got airlines scrambling to roll out their own flat beds across the country, and lower rates too. Here’s all the scoop you need, to land some $399 flat bed seats across the country. For a six hour flight, a bed always comes in handy…
The Deals
Boston continues to be the new hotbed for flat bed business class, and for the absolute lowest prices, that’s where you’re going to want to start. Interested in other cities? Fear not, there are others too. Once overlooked by airlines, and given the old boring seat seen in Home Alone, the East Coast hub of Boston is now home to multiple transcontinental routes featuring flat beds, from Delta, United and JetBlue, starting at $399 all in, one way. There are deals to Seattle, San Francisco at $399, with other cities available at $499, which can be great value as well. We’ve got all the particulars below.
The Dates
These deals are available from now (August) 2018 thru July 2019. Certain months such as October and November will have decreased availability, but there are numerous days in each month where each fare is available. You’ll do best by sticking to Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
How To Book
Booking should be easy, and we’ll try to keep it that way. These one way deals can be a fantastic way to fly in comfort for the longer flight going west, while just using points or paying cash for the shorter flight going from West Coast to East Coast. If you’re a college student, or someone moving, it can also be a great way to lock in extra bags and comfort, since $25 a bag could easily turn an economy fare higher than this one! Here are the best one way flat bed deals, like: $399 Boston to San Francisco, $399 Boston to Seattle, $499 New York JFK to Seattle (on select Delta flights), $499 Fort Lauderdale to San Francisco, $499 Boston to Los Angeles and $499 Boston to Las Vegas (or vice versa). Enjoy your beds!
$400 for a six hour Mint flight is a steal. JetBlue Mint was the first business product we flew and my wife and I both loved it – she’s actually flying LAS – BOS in a few weeks and looks forward to experiencing it again.
The food is good, the seat is extremely comfortable, and the service was exceptional on our previously Mint flights. I highly recommend it if someone has the means to swing it.
