Wherever you are in the world, counting down from 10 to a glass of champagne to toast the New Year always feels good, but New York just does it a little “extra”. From Times Square to the top of a posh hotel, there’s something exciting about New Years Eve in NYC, and there are actually some pretty decent deals to get you there too, with £1222 round trip business class on BA or Virgin. First Class is under £2k on some dates too…

The Flight Deals

Team Virgin or Team BA, it doesn’t matter. Both have round trip business class direct to NYC from £1222 on perfect dates to take in the New Year, and perhaps just before too. There’s actually never been a better time to fly business to New York, because both airlines will have their respective new Upper Class Suite and Club Suite flying on select flights, offering the best experience either airline has offered in about 20 years. Here’s a pic of each…

The Dates You Can Travel

These direct flight between London and New York are available from December 31st to April 9th, 2020, giving you the option of a nice spring trip to New York, or a full on New Years Eve extravaganza. British Airways is offering these flights for departures on any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, while Virgin Atlantic’s lowest prices are only available for Wednesday departures.

In both cases, you’ll need to stay the weekend, returning on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. A longer stay is totally fine, but you can’t turn around before you’ve stayed at least a weekend in New York.

How To Book These Flight Deals

Most Virgin Atlantic flights will have the state of the art new Airbus A350 by this date, and British Airways will have select Boeing 777 flights with the new Club Suites as well. The best way to know if you’re booking the right BA plane is to seek 777’s instead of 747’s and look at the seat map before finalizing your booking. If it has just 4 seats across in a 1-2-1 layout, then you’ve got the right plane.
