People like to eat, and these days staying home and having someone else cook is often one of the best solutions. When it comes to earning rewards for future trips, or some delicious cash back for your next meal, the only thing tastier than earning points for everything you buy is earning 5X points for things you buy. With a new Capital One and UberEats promo, that’s exactly what you can do, at least when it comes to UberEats delivery.
Capital One x UberEats Promo
Through Jaunuary 31st, 2021, you’ll earn 5X Points on all UberEats purchases with either Capital One Venture and Venture One, or Capital One Savor, and SavorOne. Basically, spend $100, earn 500 points, rather than the standard 100 points. And yes, any amount you spend earns 5X points, so long as UberEats is the merchant.
Capital One Venture allows for points to be transferred to a variety of airline partners, while Capital One Savor brings 5% cash back, instead of 5X points. Of course, a key benefit of Capital One Venture is flexibility, since you can choose between taking cash back with purchase eraser, or converting points into miles.
Via the promotion, you’re effectively earning over 3 airline miles per dollar spent at UberEats with Capital One Venture, and closer to 4! Venture typically earns 2 points for every dollar spent, which can be converted to 1.5 airline miles, so with 5X, you’re just over 3 miles per dollar, which is amazing for a low annual fee card on take out spending.
Capital One makes it fairly clear…
“Once you are logged into your Uber Eats account, it’s easy to earn rewards. You simply place an order for whatever you are craving on Uber Eats with your eligible Capital One Savor, SavorOne, Venture or VentureOne card, and your rewards will be credited to your Capital One account within 1-2 billing cycles.
Note, purchases paid for with third party payment accounts, such as PayPal, mobile or wireless card readers, mobile or digital wallets, such as Apple Pay and Android Pay, or similar technology, are not qualifying purchases and will not earn enhanced rewards.”
Don’t forget that you can still stack the 5X with other great offers by going through things like cash back portals or airline e-stores before clicking over to UberEats. As long as the purchase is charged by UberEats directly to your Capital One card, you’ll be all set.
Points For Things People Are Doing
People are into different things than they might usually be at the moment, and Capital One is clearly responding to consumer needs with evolving perks. Being able to convert UberEats purchases into a hefty number of airline miles is attractive right now, as is earning 5% cash back on UberEats via Capital One Savor, without even adding in stacking opportunities.
